SAL
at the Reckless Engineer
reviewed by Da Hack

| "SAL are one of those bands you can't help but enjoy, and tonight they are on fine form. Vocalist Kat, makes eyes at the audience and every male (and a good few of the girls as well) go weak at the knees and prepare marriage proposals. But this is no one woman band. The atomic guitaring and ducks bum tight rythmn section are essential ingredients in the mix. Sounding like a mad mix between No Doubt, The Runaways and Poison they rock, they challenge and they blow your mind out. See them live and die happy. " |

Clemenza Kimble

"i saw a stuning new Rock band the other week that just stuck i my head, they were called Clemenza Kimble and they brought a new sound to the "The Louisiana" Thursday 4th nov. Opening for (blueneck) and The Bearded Lady, but poofing they they were in no way the poor realations to the bands they supported. Clemenza Kimble whipped up a frenzy playing a mix of music the straddled across progressive rock, indie, punk, rock and blues in a coherent manner and in such a manner to give rise a new bastard sound. With songs that are still go round in my head weeks after the gig.
They played full set of songs previously unheard by any crowd managed to keep the attention of the gathering masses that turned out to see the bearded lady, they were a musical Tour de Force. i'm not lying when i say that Clememza Kimble are will worth seeing live, their musically powerful, tight and like no other band your likely to see in bristol at the moment. catch when the next play bristol, as i will. Rock Resurrection
at the The Old Tavern
reviewed by Pony Express

"Ah yes. Not strictly 'live music' but if you are fed up sitting in huge stadiums to see the band of your dreams in miniature then this is a good substitute.
The men running the Rock Resurrection Disco at The Old Tavern send round a 'request sheet' so you can just sit back and listen to the sounds of your choice or play air-guitar to your heart's content.
I'll be requesting some German Industrial Metal on 3 December - and will be forced to dance to it! Yeah - bloody marvelous." |
